As one of London’s dedicated fire risk assessment agencies, the last few months have been difficult for us. Needless to say, fire safety is what we’re passionate about, and adapting to the Covid-19 pandemic has affected the way we work hugely; not being able to get out and about conducting fire surveys on behalf of our clients has felt like a punishment. To say that it’s a tough time for everyone right now would be an understatement, and Excel Fire is no exception.
With that said, when we say we’re a true fire safety partner, we mean it; we don’t just walk around a property, ticking boxes and making observations before feeding it all to our clients in a pass/fail manner. Which is why we’ve made every effort to adapt over these challenging months and continue to add value, despite not being able to get on-site.
We’ve been working hard to add more strings to our bow.
Something we at Excel pride ourselves on is our education – both in the individuals we hire as fire risk assessors and the business itself, too. In such a crucial industry as ours, we feel that being able to offer a full-service approach to our clients is key, which is why we’re now FIRAS accredited to fit and install certified timber fire doors. Our latest 3rd party accreditation is something we’ve been working on for a while – and properly certified fire doors aren’t known for being a quick and easy fix. Further to this, we’ve also gained our certification for building fire safe partitioning systems which prevent the spread of fire and smoke, bringing us one step closer to containing a fire at its origin in an emergency.
Like I said, we’ve been keeping busy.
In an industry as regulated as ours, each certification we achieve is truly something to shout about, and yet another step on our journey to becoming London’s leading fire risk assessment company.
We’ve been doing what we do best – advising and consulting.
When it comes to fire safety, it’s more than just a yes or no, right or wrong scenario. So, since lockdown began here in London, we’ve been keeping in constant contact with our clients with regards to their fire safety plans and how to best approach them once the world opens back up. We take time to understand your needs – whether that be upgrading your passive protection systems, strategising for a property-wide equipment upgrade or scheduling your annual fire risk assessments.
We’ve been looking toward a brighter, post-Covid future.
Which means lots of planning and, as always, looking for innovative ways to leave our stamp on the fire safety industry. Our proprietary processes in reporting are always improving, so we can deliver our clients the critical information and guidance they need to ensure full compliance.
We’re making sure we’re ready to keep on doing what we love – leading the way in London’s fire industry, to protect our clients and their tenants alike.
